With Rob at the table

Met Rob aan tafel

In my pre-Hof-van-In period, I was a butcher, cook and had a thriving catering business for a long time. Now, at Hof van In, I am very happy with our semi professional kitchen and if I’m not busy with chores, receiving guests or other activities in and around the Court, you can find me there. The blood runs where it cannot run, they say, and that is true. What could be more delicious than the smell of fresh vegetables, a simmering dish in a saucepan on the fire or a balanced bouquet of herbs.

Pampering guests is a profession

Since our opening, now several months ago, we received very nice reviews that make us, Ingrid and me, beaming with joy. So we are committed 100% when it comes to spoiling our guests and visitors. Now tell me, as a former hospitality hospitality coach (Rob Hoogsteder TAC), I wouldn’t do my profession justice if we failed in that area, would I? And of course I’m not talking about making sure that the towels and bedding are always clean, that the rooms are neatly cleaned and so on… but also that our guests are served an delicious breakfast after a night in one of our super nice king size beds.

Back to our kitchen

The kitchen, at the back of our building, which overlooks the garden because the back wall is all glass, is my favorite place. We have two American refrigerators with a freezer, four ovens including two combi ovens and two regular ones, two induction hobs with two state-of-the-art extractor hoods above them, two dishwashers, a large sink with filtered drinking water and a professional coffee machine. Preparing food here is really not just cooking … it’s Cooking with a big C. It’s living my passion and treating fresh vegetables and meat as the gardeners and organic farmers would wish for their produce.

To share is to multiply

Ok, mathematically it doesn’t make sense but when you share your passion, you multiply the pleasure.
That’s what I believe in.
That’s why I enjoy cooking with people who, naturally, also help me stir the pots.
Enjoying all those smells and colors together, that really excites me.
That’s one of the reasons why I want to share our kitchen with amateur cooks and other guests love to cook.
Another reason is that I find it super cozy to dine together and enjoy all the delicious things prepared.

The moral of the kitchen story

So … should you feel like cooking together, hosting a cooking workshop, scheduling a lunch meeting or coming to show off your cooking skills to a select group?
Be our guest!
Our doors are wide open and we would love to welcome you in our kitchen at

Hof van In!
